CAS-tastic Sketch Challenge

I'm not sure which blog I tripped across this sketch on, but I just loved it so I decided to play along with this week's Cas-tastic Sketch challenge.  The horizontal panel made met think of Wild About You right away because this gator/croc is a horizontal image and I don't have too many of them for some reason (hmmmm.... may have to change that LOL!).  I just LOVE this set and will never part with it because the images are too stinkin' cute and you can use it for so many occasions:  baby cards, anniversary, love, young boy and girl birthday cards etc.

Since our anniversary came and went without my having made a card for my hubby (yes, I'm hanging my head in shame!!), I decided to make up for it by giving him this one to remind him of just how special he is.  I had to wait a long time for him as I married in my mid 30's, but he was well worth the wait :)

The ribbon is one of my favorite finds from my ribbon bin diving adventures at Michael's and was my inspiration for the colours on this card.  I used my go to "masculine" Martha Steward punch and it was a perfect match to the "ric-racs" on the gators back.  I added a little "grass" to ground my gator, coloured his pupils black so his eyes stick out a bit more, and called it a card.

Give someone you love a hug or a call today and tell them how much you care.  It is medicine for the soul :)  Hope to be back soon.

What's In It?
Stamps:  Wild About You (SU)

OK, so I just left a comment on your card on SCS, then I pop by here to check out the CAS-tastic sketch you referred to and, lo and behold, you're talking about diving for ribbon... How funny is that... :)

So glad to hear that you liked the sketch! I really hope that you can use it again. What a perfect card, I see how your border replicates the alligator. I have this set too and haven't pulled it out in so long, thanks for the inspiration.

My anniversary came and went with no card either.. My hubby just shoves them in a drawer so I figured I would save the time..:) This is so sweet. I love that ribbon too. Perfect for this card...
P.S. We are half way through the first book.. We are reading 10 pages each morning.. :)
