Happy St. Patrick's Day
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!! I am far from Irish, but have several Irish friends and three friends with birthdays on St. Patrick's Day! Makes me wonder what was in the water nine months prior LOL!
This card is my blogging buddy Maureen's birthday card. Happy Birthday, Maureen (((hugs)). Since I was late in getting the card made and in the mail, I'm giving it to you via cyber world first :) You'll be able to extend your birthday celebrations a little longer as it won't get to you for a few days - or however long Canada Post decides to take!
I used this week's Verve sketch for Maureen's card as it is her sketch :) After I forgave her for adding a skewed panel to the sketch (her birthday card was in serious jeopardy LOL!), and began working with the sketch, I actually found it rather easy to work with...gasp! Maybe it is because I basically cased her sketch ;o)
My shamrock is made from three hearts with French Script stamped over them, and the olive paper has a Studio G shamrock stamped all over it. Absolutely love the polka dotted Pebbles DP I found at a local scrapbooking store. Will go back for another few sheets I think!
Speaking of shamrocks, the darn bunny that chewed my crocuses down to dirt level better have a lucky four leaf clover somewhere on hand or he will be on the dinner table shortly!! I love crocuses and to not have any blooming in my garden this year makes me M-A-D mad!!! Maybe the kids have it right, feed him carrots so he isn't hungry and won't eat your flowers.
Sorry....I regressed! Many happy returns to Maureen, Colleen and Heather on your birthday (and anybody else who pops in here whose birthday is today). Hope you have a fabulous day getting spoiled by family and friends :)

Beautiful CASE Marisa...you gotta take inspiration from where ever you can get it! I'm sure that Maureen will LOVE this card as it represents a tribute to her favorite holiday and her birthday! Your card is incredibly festive and bright! An awesome birthday wish, my dear! And I assume that she is forgiven for the skewness of it all...a get out of jail free card, if you will... :)
I am so into green - I love this card!! Fabulous job on the sketch!!
What a great St. Patrick's Day card!! Did you break out in hives when you saw that skewed sketch??? Well, even if you did, you certainly overcame that and nailed that sketch. It's a gorgeous card! And I love all the pretty green--you must have been in heaven using so much of your favorite color on a card. :)
Great St. Patty's card!!! Wonderful "skewing"!!!! I'm sure Maureen will love it.
Your cards take my breath away!
I discovered your blog when watching a YouTube video from CanNickel and she suggested visiting. I can't thank her enough as your cards truly "speak" to me! Simplicity and elegance are the two words that I would use to describe your work.
Thanks for sharing your talent.
Love this card, Marisa! You showed that skewed panel who's boss! I will have to remember to try one of these heart-leaved shamrocks next year. It looks super cute with the button center!
super cute card Marissa, I am sure your friend will love it!!
Wonderful St. Pat's card, that shamrock is awesome. Umm... Not sure if the carrots will help any. hee hee But you could give it a try?? lol
You are getting so you "skew" very well! This is a gorgeous card and isn't it nice that you shared it with us too. Maybe carrots in a trap would be a good solution! (A humane trap not a cut off their legs one!)
I think this is one of my very favourite St. Pat's cards Marisa!!
It's a little stunner! xxx
Definitely feed carrots to save your flowers! This is a beauty - I know Moe would absolutely love it. You did her sketch up beautifully!!
I love all the sweet details on your card...very cheery!
