Inkspirations Colour Challenge #84

Verve

Holy moly, these are some bright colours LOL!  I struggled with is colour combo for a long time...nothing seemed to be working for me so I decided to go CAS and use this FTL which was combined with this week's  Cas-ual Fridays challenge.

That being said, I'm not totally happy with the CAS outcome either - ugh!!  Ever have one of those challenges?  Think my mojo was left in the pool or ran away after all the water main issues and back to school shopping we have to get done.  Yah, I know - sorry excuses LOL!  Let's just say Colour Challenge 1 - Marisa 0.  Will do better next week, promise :)

I know the rest of the Design Team has some fabulous cards for your inspiration and they didn't struggle the way I did :)

Cindy
Kirsty
Makeesha

Just a reminder that each week Keesh will select a winner and an honorable mention and post their cards on the Inkspirations Challenge blog.  We'd love to see your card posted as a winner.

Thanks for stopping bye today and I look forward to seeing what you came up with for this colour challenge.  Have a fabulous weekend :)

I think this looks fabulous Marisa, as a lover of orange, the bright panel is a perfect backdrop for the gorgeous bloom! :)

We are our own worst critics, because I think your CAS version is a GREAT way to use these colors! I love this card! I felt the same way when I used the CTD colors this week...came close to not even posting my card! I need to remember your theory...when the colors are stark...use a lot of white in the BG!

When I see a scary color combo, I ALWAYS go CAS. It just seems to work better, and I see that's the case for you too! It is perfectly lovely.

Are you kidding?! This is fabulous! This is a really tough color combo, but you handled it beautifully, my friend. Love that sweet flower!

Marisa I think you are just to hard on yourself. You sweet touch can still be seen in this fabulous card. That flower is just darling and your accents compliment it. It's splendid!

hmm, I have to disagree with you...I love the pop of colour off of white :) I admire how you always come up with a great idea with colour challenges...and I love making flowers nontraditional colours :) Hope your weekend has started out great! Off to the gym, Costco, and then going to clean a bit here at dad's...then hopefully a little craft time :) Hugs!

Fabulous Marisa! In complete contrast to yesterday's card but equally lovely! xxx

Marisa you are way too hard on yourself! I love your take on a tough color combo! I agree about the white too.... touches of brights are about all I feel comfortable with! I love it!

This IS a bright card, but I have to say that I like it! The colors really pop against the white, and the purple flower really jumps against that bright orange.

Hope you're enjoying your weekend! I'm trying not to melt. It's about 104 degrees outside today. I need to find a pool to jump into. Do you think the neighbors would find it weird to look out the back door and see me swimming? lol

Dude, you and me noth. I had a rough time with this combo. Not an easy one, for sure but you nailed it! I love this! Funky and cute with a dash of awesome.

Like everyone else, I think this is an awesome use of some outrageous colors!! You've done the combo proud and I love how you've created the color blocks for your flower. The button with the sentiment is the perfect touch. Great job! :-)

This card is a winner and will probably cheer a lot of stampers after this wild and nasty weekend for so many. I am certainly enjoying the bright colors.

Marvelous, Marisa..oohh, I think I just came up with a super hero name for you!! Awesome! Anyway, your card is absolutely darling...how innovative of you to make those cute flowers using the Loopy Blooms dies, that dotted stem and the sweet little leaves coming off of it! The colors look fabulous together and the twine is the perfect accent! Ta-Da! It's Marvelous Marisa at it again! Thanks again for your concern about me and Irene...yeah, I told her to leave town and don't bother us again and she listened...I think I'm going to now have to come up with a super hero name for myself! Hmm...gotta think about that one...
Have a super night, my sweet...I can hear my super hero pillow and jammies (not Underoo's for the record) calling me now! :)

You have a lovely knack of using just enough colour and just enough white space to make me dive into your cards straight away. This is just perfect.
